Rune Koch

Rune is a trusted men’s and women’s group facilitator, ceremony host, and relationship teacher.
For more than two decades, he has guided people into wild landscapes across Europe, blending adventure, reflection, and spiritual practice — from mountain biking and hiking to paddle boarding on wild rivers and deep fjords.

His work centers on embodiment, presence, and connection to spirit, guiding participants to step fully into themselves — grounded, alive, and awake.

Rune’s approach is simple yet transformative: he awakens presence, sharpens clarity, and reconnects people to their own inner wisdom, using land, water, and movement as mirrors and accelerators for growth.

Participants leave with more than memories — they leave with embodied tools, deep insight, and a felt sense of strength and connection, ready to carry it into daily life.

Where the Journey Begins

Where, roads end.

We start high in Upper Shala, far from towns and noise.
From here, the river carries us, through narrow gorges, open valleys, and long stretches of deep silence —
until we finish days later in Rragam.

This landscape does not demand explanation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need paddling experience?

No.
You don’t need prior paddling experience. We move at a relaxed pace, and you’ll be guided throughout. What matters more is your willingness to be present and learn as you go. Sitting down like in a kayak is an option.

What level of fitness is required?

You should be comfortable with several hours of physical activity per day and being outdoors for a week.
You don’t need to be an athlete , and willing to learn to listen to your body.

What type of accommodation is it?

We will camp in nature for the full week sleeping in tents. 
This is about being close to nature — not luxury, but real comfort.

What is included in the price?

  • Transport from Tirana Airport to the river and back

  • All meals (three per day, including restaurants at the start and end)

  • Paddleboard and safety equipment

  • 1:1  sparing, facilitation, and group holding throughout the journey

Flight tickets and camping equipment is not included.

Will I be pushed emotionally or asked to share more than I want?

No.
This journey is invitational, not forced confrontational.
You are always free to engage at your own pace. Silence is respected, and sharing only happens when it feels natural and true for you.

Is this a retreat with a fixed program?

No.
There are no rigid schedules or forced exercises.
The journey itself is the teacher — supported by guidance, reflection, daily practices and shared experience.

Is this for men or women?

This journey is open to both men and women.
The group is small (maximum 9 participants) to ensure depth, safety, and connection.

Is it safe?

Yes. Safety is a priority — on the water, in the mountains, and within the group.
We move with awareness, adapt to conditions, and everyone will have a life jacket
